Electronic Signatures...A Sign of the Times
By now, the concept of electronic signatures is far from new.  Even in the day of the telegraph, people and businesses were giving their electronic stamp of approval to various contracts, by Morse code.  Since the U.S. Government carried out the will of ABA white papers and the State's nod to digital endorsements from 1999's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act by passing the U.S. ESIGN Act of 2000, electronic signatures have taken off in gargantuan proportions.

From signing your taxes to applying for Student Loans, electronic signatures have most certainly made things easier and more secure.  Now, instead of filling out sensitive information AND affixing your signature to those documents, arguably "literally 'signing your life away'", digital signatures allow you to make much more secure submissions electronically.  Instead of filling out lengthy forms with endless personal financial information and mailing or faxing that information in, electronic options help ensure end-to-end security with encryption and additional server safety.

Whether you're applying for lake house rental, or for an Ivy League education, electronic signatures make it a whole lot easier and safer.  Keep your eye out for Enliven's eSignatures which will be able to be used in conjunction to some of our other solutions like eForms, or on its own, in the very near future!
