Typically, when my mom says that I have to read something,
watch something, or go and see something, I nod, smile, and studiously avoid
the recommendation. A nasty habit I
picked up in adolescence, I suppose, but this time I think she’s onto something...
In case your Wednesdays have been looking a little dull, or
in the event that you are super concerned about the planet and the part you can
play, there’s something easy, fabulous, and FREE that you can do to about
it. We (Mom and I) wanted to let all of our fellowGREEN crusaders know that the Capital Area
District Library, in concert with WKAR is hosting an exhibit and panel discussion
of global proportions. Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth will be utilized
as a catalyst to discuss issues like global warming, recycling, and conserving natural
resources, in front of a panel of experts at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan on Wednesday,
March 19th.
Although this is a FREE event, a ticket is required to
attend. Starting Monday, Feb. 11, tickets will be available at all CADL
locations, or by calling (517) 367-6355.
I’ll be there, sporting my Enliven name tag, so if you see
me, come over and say “Hi”. If you’re
lucky, I’ll even introduce you to The Sharon! :)
