Public utilities are making the switch to greener practices, and in turn, doing their part to contribute to a greener environment.

Utility companies across the country are yielding to customer requests for online billing and payment capabilities and in turn, doing their part by participating in greener practices.  Some of these public utility companies have taken their “greenness” one step further and begun to donate $1 to environmental alliances who plant trees for each new customer who signs up to receive their bills electronically .
